My role is very varied, always learning something new and no two days are the same. The culture is open, friendly and supportive and you are really recognised for the hard work that you do.

What did you do before joining CTB?

I worked as a Customer Support Assistant for a Building Society in the mortgages team, mainly dealing with completions.

What attracted you to working for CTB?

I was recommended by someone who was currently working for the bank, who had positive and great things to say about working here.

What roles have you had since joining CTB?

I have just worked in Completions, the role that I am in today.

What attracted you to the role that you are in today?

It was a chance to progress in a role that I was already doing and enjoyed and to further my knowledge whilst learning a new area of lending (bridging, HMOs etc).

What (and why) do you enjoy most about the role that you do?

The role is very varied, and you are always learning something new. No two days are the same, it is very fast paced and its always fulfilling when another case completes.

What have you found challenging about your current role?

Completions is very fast paced in the current market, you are often juggling multiple urgent cases at any given time which can be a challenge.

What training and development opportunities have you / are you receiving?

I had the opportunity to attend Microsoft workshops which I found very benefiting and learned a lot.

What are your future career aspirations?

I want to remain within property and develop my skills further, there is so much to learn, and things are always changing, and I feel I still have a lot of knowledge left to learn.

How would you describe the culture here at CTB?

Open, friendly and supportive. I have never received so much support in a role before and that has been extremely refreshing. You are really recognised for the work you do.

There is a very supportive approach with a strong belief in recognising employees for their hard work and contributions. Communication is strong throughout the business and the environment within the office is relaxed which leads to greater productivity amounts staff.
